Great job taking the readings and really summarizing and synthesizing them as well. It shows you have a good understanding of how and why we might use social stories.SG Budinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06644084606985505666noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-95474794407394519.post-89236237411066950572012-11-10T17:02:59.110-08:002012-11-10T17:02:59.110-08:00I loved the topic for your story! Kid's love board games but not all of them know how to play fair and be positive even when losing. With this story children can learn to be positive and just have fun while playing the game. Its not all about winning and losing. I really liked your pictures you used, they were real which would help the viewers to relate better! This story would be very helpful for all ages. Great job!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02342902589815306230noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-95474794407394519.post-88108045573372018322012-11-09T18:32:18.149-08:002012-11-09T18:32:18.149-08:00Great job Heather! I really liked your input on your use of social stories. Making a book is such a great idea! I find that reading books to children has a soothing factor as it is; so I can see how it could be very helpful!Keep up the good work!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13004516946627125728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-95474794407394519.post-68212452105710373342012-11-09T04:46:56.445-08:002012-11-09T04:46:56.445-08:00This is awesome! Not only do I feel that you picked a very important and helpful social skill, but your explanations to both articles and sharing your personal background information made it even better. Although you had never used the PhotoStory site, your bowling social story seemed like it was very effective at the time of need. I definitely agree with you also on your comment of autism. It is important to know that not one single individual will be alike and it is important to find ways to help each child successfully. Your video was so cute! I loved the pictures that you chose to go with each page. "I will not get upset if i start to lose. If i do get upset, I will calmly tell my friend I need to take a break from the game." This page was my favorite because it shows the reality that children are not expected to act the perfect way, especially if things aren't going their way. You can really tell you worked hard on this...awesome job!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
